Cutest little mess I ever did see!

Grace had her first real cold last week. It was just a virus but the poor girl was feeling pretty yucky!  She is starting to feel better now, thank goodness!  One afternoon while she was sick I walked in to her room to get her after her nap, this is the state I found our little lady......

I am not sure what she did in her sleep but this is some picture!  Even when she is a bit muffy she is the cutest thing I have ever seen!

When she is feeling better she likes to make these kinds of messes...

She loves to tear toilet paper, napkins, paper towels, etc. into teeny tiny little pieces and throw them on the floor! As you can tell, she was thoroughly enjoying herself :)

Little Explorer

Typical of any 10 month old, Grace is quite the explorer. Here are a few things she has started to enjoy doing.....

She enjoys "helping" mama fold (or unfold) the laundry!

The other day I found her working out! She was doing some bicep curls with 3 lb weights she found under our TV stand. My favorite was her grunting- don't worry I quickly took these away from her after I was able to snap the picture!



She has also started to really enjoy squeezing into different spaces- the tricky part is her figuring out how to get back out....

Slow down time- 10 months old!

Grace turned 10 months old on February 28th and it has finally hit me that I will have a 1 year old soon!  Everyone always says they grow up so fast but I never expected it to be THIS fast! Slow down time! The first ten months have been so much fun!  Here are a few things to know about this little one....

*Grace loves to explore- EVERYTHING!! But, she is a thinker and checks things out before she goes full speed ahead
*Grace enjoys finding the tiniest pieces of anything  on the floor and quickly stashing them in her mouth- she has excellent fine motor skills-haha!
*She can say Mama, Dada, Bye-Bye, and Papa (my dad). For everything else, she emphatically points and makes a "BBBBBB" sound
*She now has a routine of saying hello to her mobile and turtle nightlight each morning
*She has four teeth- two front teeth and two bottom teeth. She is working hard on the others
*She loves to play chase with daddy
*She loves music and already shows off her dance moves
*She now makes high pitched squeals when she does not like something you did or didn't do-this is especially fun at church! She has an opinion and is assertive :)
*She loves to eat and tries anything you give her. She enjoys many things but I would say her favorites are strawberries, bananas, organic apple or  banana puffs, peaches, or anything she can finger feed herself! 
*She loves to play in her room and pull of the books off of her bookshelf.
*She loves to walk and bounce around on Daddy's shoulders
*She loves balloons
*She is a chatty cathy!!!
*She is already showing her mischievous side- she is so much fun!
*She loves to look at herself in the mirror and kiss (lick) the baby in the mirror
*She tries to teeth on everything- the coffee table, her crib, coasters, plastic containers, you name it- We have had to put a fabric protector on her crib because she was chewing the wood!
*She still LOVES sucking her thumb.
*She has a special twinkle in her eyes and a very happy disposition

She is loved and adored by many!!! I can't wait to continue to watch her grow and learn about her each day!

9 Month Update!

I am having a hard time keeping up with our little lady growing so quickly!! Grace turned 9 months on January 28th and we had her 9 month check up with Dr. Pruitt. Grace is is a growin' girl...


Length: 28 1/2 inches- 84%
Weight: 19 lbs 13 oz- 77 %
Head: 18 in.- 89 %

Everything went well at Dr. Pruitt's BUT the shots! Poor girl was SOOO upset and sad after her shots this time. It was a much bigger reaction than it has ever been before- it broke my heart!

Here are some recaps from Grace's 9th month- I can even begin to express what a complete joy she is for Tory and I each and every day- What an incredible blessing to say the least!

Although you would not know from this picture...Grace enjoys are bath time in the BIG bathtub!

Such a big girl!! She LOVES to drink from her cup with the straw. Grace never got into the traditional sippy cup- she skipped right to the straw. However, she is still mastering swallowing all of the water she sips through the straw so she often appears like she bathed in her water!

 Grace loves the outside! She stares out our sliding glass doors each day looking at all of the excitement!

 Grace has learned to open her dresser drawers- she found this hat with Mimi and decided she wanted to wear it around a while!

 As my sister would say, she is such a cute mess! This was after an experience of Grace attempting to spoon feed herself, oh boy!
